VOLUNTEER - Six Flags Caribbean Concert in AUGUST
BE a Volunteer & Join the TriniFly team at the
2012 Six Flags AUGUST Caribbean Concerts
We are looking for kind, eager, and able-bodied individuals that can work with others, have some fun, and earn a ticket to the 2012 Six Flags AUGUST Caribbean Concerts!
What are the requirements of volunteers?
- All volunteers must be at least 18 years of age (by August 10th), no exceptions.
- Volunteers must be on time to all assigned shifts.
- Volunteers are required to wear close toed shoes to all shift.
- Absolutely no drugs or illegal substances of any kind will be tolerated on site and you will be subject to the standard legal penalties for these offenses as well as lose your deposit.
- If you are caught drinking alcohol during your shift, stealing, or passing your wristband back to non-volunteers, you will lose your deposit.
- You DO NOT need a ticket to be a volunteer.
"The Perks!" Each Concert Volunteer will receive:
- Access to both days of the festival
- Official Governors Ball staff t-shirt
- One meal ticket
- Access to free water and restroom facilities
- A slammin’ good time
More FAQs and Guidelines:
- Volunteers should arrive for their shift 15 minutes prior to the shift start time so that they may be processed and organized.
- All volunteers must check out with the volunteer coordinator on duty after their shifts are completed to be eligible for their general admission ticket to 2012 Six Flags AUGUST Caribbean Concerts.
- Volunteers must wear their Gov Ball Staff T-shirt in an appropriate manner while working, and take it off when not working.
What type of Jobs / Departments could I be working in?
- There are a variety of different jobs and departments including visual design, vendor set-up and coordination, assisting with event games/activities, will call and guest list check-in, administrative help, catering, VIP set-up and maintenance, general production, and others.
- Volunteers are on hand to help out when and where they are needed. You may end up getting pulled from one area and shifted to another based on our changing needs. The key is to be flexible and willing to lend a hand.
Do volunteers get to see the show?
- All volunteers are free to enjoy the show while not scheduled to work so long as you arrive on time and ready to work when scheduled.
Can I request to work with a friend?
- While we will do our best to accommodate you, keep in mind that all requests to work with friends are NOT guaranteed.

LIVE IN CONCERT on Sunday, August 12, 2012, I-Octane will perform at the Six Flags Caribbean Concert with TriniFly Promotions alongside Mavado, Barrington Levy and more.
ARTIST INFO:
Before he became known to the world as I-Octane, young Byiome Muir was just another youth growing up in Sandy Bay, Clarendon with big dreams.
Now he is known for his uniquely powerful voice and spit-fire lyrics but before that he gained himself the reputation of being a noisy little boy who was constantly belting out a tune, much to the annoyance of his mother and siblings. Young Byiome took this passion for music and singing to school and could always be found beating a rhythm on the desk and entertaining his classmates. Before long, the casual performances gained Byiome respect and no schoolyard clash, concert, or function was complete without an appearance from the budding singjay.
Despite his blossoming reputation as a talented singer, Muir still didn't consider performing professionally as a viable career choice. Understanding the financial hardships that his family had to endure, he took on the role of 'man of the house' and focused on helping his mother raise his brothers and sister. However, his education was not to be neglected. His mother encouraged him to work hard at school and Byiome discovered that he had an affinity for the sciences and architecture. He actually considered becoming an architect but he couldn't seem to escape the call of the music.

VP Records and Scikron will release of I-Octane’s debut album, ‘Crying To The Nation,’ available January 31, 2012. He is one of the most-talked about artists emerging from Jamaica.

MAVADO
Mavado, "the Gully God," will perform on August 12, 2012 at the largest theme park in Northern America at the Six Flags Caribbean Concert with TriniFly Promotions.
A reggae singer influenced by the likes of Bounty Killer and Cutty Ranks, David Constantine Brooks, aka Mavado, was born and raised in one of Kingston, Jamaica's more dangerous ghettos, Cassava Piece. Church and a desire to deliver a socially conscious message to the people kept Mavado out of serious trouble. Encouraged by a friend, Mavado visited Junior Reid's recording studio in Kingston, where he met his hero, Bounty Killer. The reggae star recognized the young singer's talent and introduced him to the likes of vocalist Predator and manager Julian Jones-Griffith. In 2004, Mavado released "Real McKoy," his breakthrough single recorded over the Daseca crew's Anger Management riddim. Two years later, the Red Bull and Guinness riddim and the song "Weh Dem a Do" would give him his next big hit, and the successful "Dreaming" and "Bawl Dem a Bawl" singles would follow soon after, but the momentum was almost brought to halt when his father was murdered in Switzerland.
After that tragedy, he decided to resolve the feud between Vibez Kartel and himself. Over the years, his focus has been on his career, having the ability to out-do himself every time with hits we love such as: "Top Shotta Nah Miss" and "Dying" plus "Real McKoy with a Full Clip," His talent transcends to other arenas, he was one of the few dancehall reggae artists to be included in a video game, Grand Theft Auto 4: Liberty City. His lyrics could also be heard on 50 Cent and G-Unit’s album T.O.S: Terminate On Site

BARRINGTON LEVY
is a legendary Jamaican Reggae artist with “Staying Power”. Slated to give a electrifying performance at the Six Flags Caribbean Concert in AUGUST with the TriniFly Promotions Company.
Born in 1964 in Clarendon, Jamaica, as a youngster, Barrington Levy formed the Mighty Multitude with his cousin Everton Dacres. They started off playing the sound systems and cut their first single, "My Black Girl," in 1977. All of 14, Levy broke out on his own the next year and recorded his debut solo single, "A Long Time Since We Don't Have No Love."An artist from the 80s with hits like, "Looking My Love", "Englishman", "Skylarking", "Wedding Ring Aside" assisted in launching his career. Some of the songs we know and love even today, “Black Roses”, “Under Mi Sensi”,” Too Experienced”, “Broader Than Broadway”. Over the years Barrington Levy has inspired many of the younger artists within the business as well.
One of the reasons young artists and fans of various ages love Levy is due to his versatility that’s still present today both on his records and his stage performances. People had tired of the more militant rasta-fired visions and were searching for something lighter, but with the immediacy of the dancehalls. Levy provided the perfect answer. A veteran of the clubs, he brought the spontaneity of the DJ to his records, while returning vocals back to the sound system scene which had been purely the realm of the DJs.
